What has the world come to.....

In "Disney Racism Examples", I learned that Disney uses racism in all their movies involving African Americans, Asians, and Mexicans, hidden through sweet innocent animation. A sensitive topic giving examples Disney uses racism in their movies; stereotyping giving the characters a certain speech and appearance in their animation. In Disney Racism Examples, The Jungle Book uses gorillas to portray African- American stereotypes using ghetto slang and action. It is all hidden through animation making it seem innocent; which can easily manipulate kids into recognizing a black person through the way they talk describing them as a gorilla they seen in a movie.

In "Racism in Disney", this video shows all types of stereotypes involving Mexicans, Asians, and blacks. Asians with the slanted eyes and devious actions, with also includes cats playing the piano with chop sticks. Mexicans are all perceived as violent human beings. Blacks are discriminated against, have their ghetto slang. Black people are also slaves who happen to love to work all day.

In Consuming Kids, I learned that marketers and corporations' targets kids in their advertisement because kids are a huge influence on what their parents buy. Consuming kids is an extensive video discussing how today's corporations and marketers target kids in all sorts of ways using media and technology to their advantage; due to the influence children have on decisions regarding purchases with their parents. In the Documentary Consuming kids, in the van commercial kids see how much fun these kids in the commercial are having when it comes to that specific van; influencing kids to nag to their parents until they purchase the van on television.

This meme from the Dos Equis commercial the old man always says " I Don't Always drink beer, but when I do I prefer Dos Equis." I referred this to the documentray because of the nag effect children. Children Nag until they get what they want, which contributes to the huge purchases made in the household. Kids will always nag until they get the latest newest thing on the market. " I Don't always nag, but when I do it's for the newest xbox."
